These oats have been minimally processed; only their outer hull has been removed. As a result, they retain much of their nutrient content and are very chewy. These oats, just like all oats, are low in fat and high in complex carbohydrates. They have much higher fibre content than processed oats and take longer to digest, therefore making them a great low GI option.
